Question of style:

I just got a box of Round 1 at a really good price.  So, I want to know what BMMAC.com would do in my situation.  Would you:

A:  Rip the box as soon as it comes in the door.  After all, you still need a bunch of the autos and golds.

B:  Resell it.  You won the auction at the lowest price you've seen in months.  You are sure to make at least $100 in the transaction.

C:  Sit on it.  Avoid the overwhelming urge, and wait to see if you can make huge bank in the future.

P.s.  I already know what I'm going to do.  I just want to hear what BMMAC thinks.

Well how much did you get it for ? if you dont mind me asking. I can get them for $322.00 a box, which is cheaper than most on ebay, and I see them going for $350 to $360 at least.

It's always hard to turn down $100 quick profit.  Since the $100 profit could buy you 3 or more Autographs that are better than the 3 you might pull by ripping.  On the other hand, the quest for a sweet Red Ink Auto is very tempting.  So I understand the Rip or Sell options.

To me the Sit Option is the worst if you sit too long.  With some of the Auto hits being redemption cards which expire on 01/31/2012, holding on to the box too long may decrease it's value.  No one likes pulling a sweet redemption card that has already expired, so I could see the boxes dropping in value after the Exchange Deadline passes in early 2012 b/c your best hit could be a worthless expired redemption card.

Just my opinion.  Best of luck in whatever you decide to do.

Rip it option, BJ Penn redemption ends 1/31/12,  if you do rip do it before then. The odds are against you to pull a Red GSP or Silva or dual auto IMO knowing how many have been seen on the internet.

Sit on it option, not good, the UFC cards have fallen off a cliff, I personally have 98 autos for sale on ebay now and cannot even get a offer on them. If Round 3 limits production Round 1 and 2 will be worthless and everyone will being selling Round 1 and 2 to get Rd3 cards. I do not see round 1 or 2 going up in value anytime soon. Topps is killing the value of their own product fast, our only hope is they wait until late fall 2010 to release Round 3, god I can only wish, please Topps, Please!!!

Sell it option, best option IMO, try to turn a profit quick, these cards will not go back up anytime soon. Topps is flooding the market with these cards and killing demand faster than they can print them. And if you wait a year or so to try and sale a "final Rd 1 box ever" it will be almost useless since buyers will know the majority of these boxes have been opened and therefore the odds of a huge pull are virtually non-existent. Just my two cents as always
