were stamped with serial numbers ? the topps product description says they are lmtd to 25 - all the other BL parallels are stamps /8, /88 - why not stamp the autos ? where there some circumstances that prevented them frfom being stamped ? or did topps just nto do it for some reason ? anyone have insight ?

to help out / assist in the growing popularity of counterfeiting .  just a thought . it is really odd that they wouldnt / didnt do it . we all  shall see in the future sets if certain autos or all get numbered . strange . these are the ones that get copied .

The Octagon of Honor autos likewise are "limited to 25" but do not have a serial number to verify this.  None of the round 1 autos were numbered. (except for the Rich Franklin, but these were a replacement for Roger Huerta and didn't come out until after the release of 2009.  Franklin remains the only #d base auto.)
