Blowout and BigT raised the price of a round 2 hobby box over $40 in matter of weeks ($110 to over $150).  I love round 2 but there is no I'm paying $155 a box...This is the highest I've ever seen R2 boxes.... What gives??? Ideas?

probably the success of jon jones and dan henderson? idk.. locally they've been selling them @ 135 a box but even that is almost too much for me.. maybe their supply is just getting low and theyre trying to milk it

supply and demand.  plus..look at the cards..rookie/first cards(gold and silver too) of current heavyweight champ JDS, light heavyweight champ Bones, interim welterweight champ condit..and the first autos of jds/bones..lets not forget the first/rookie card of current undisputed middleweight champ Chael Sonnen too.  Rd2 has a lot of cards of the top names in the sport and when compared to an 800$ rd1 box, rd2 at 150 sounds good.

So Matthew are you a salesman? Hah I never busted a box of round 2 and you're making it tempting.
Check out my feedback... Updating with NICE cards for sale.

Yea, there are some great rookies in R2 as Matthewevan pointed out.  But still, the Condit/Sonnen pulls are base cards no autos.  Blowout/Big T must have seen a big jump in demand for R2.

$125 is my max on R2 boxes, I hope prices come back down Cry

The box prices locally here have been at 165 a box

I seen a break on blowout where the guy said he wouldn't be surprised to see box prices hit $200. I thought that was out of the question until I looked at the hits and subjects. Knockout is $200 a box and you get arguably better hits but if your after "rookies" round 2 is the way to go.

What other box beside round 1 can you still get $20-$50 for blue autos on average??

i have broken a total of less than 6 boxes of rd2 personally..i dont think i would spend 150 on a box though.. i can see why they charge it--especially if supply is drying up..

i have opened some terrible boxes- marcus davis and cb dolloway autos.. spending 150 on those boxes is rough!

I really want to go in with 3 other people on a case.
I haven't looked at prices lately, prob around $400 each?
Instead of opening all of the cards like normal case breaks we would get 3 boxes each. Someone will get the case hit that way too.
I really want to tuck a box away, just in case prices do get crazy.

R2 Cases are $1800-1900 right now, no way to make $ unless you pull a Jones 1/1.
