Who bought it? I made an offer to the guy this morning and 15 minutes later he declined it..or so I thought..It was actually bought for the full price of 1499.99 plus 10 bucks shipping..(most ever paid for the Bones rd2 red on ebay by far) ADD this one to the list of most expensive MMA cards purchased on ebay. Funny thing is, I thought it would sell for less as the seller very candidly stated that the card would grade as at least an '8'. Looks like there is a reason why Bones rd2 reds are listed in so many people's 'Holy Grail' list. They only last a few hours on ebay at 1500!! nice job to whoever bought it.. I saw it on my train ride into work this morning and hit BIN.. but then read the description and decided to make an offer instead.. I will probably regret that moment of hesitation as we wont see another one of these for a year!! |

What a nice card, I wonder why he said 8 or better, maybe one of the corners has a ding or the edge(s) may be rough..? Who knows, only the guy who bought it but, I guess if it gets an 8 its still considering mint...

If you look at the back of the card the top right corner has just a little wear.
He probably knows it won't grade out at a 10 but shouldn't go lower than an 8. Therefore he says it should grade out an 8 or better so that the buyer has hopes of a 10 but isn't upset if the card doesn't grade out higher than a 8. Just guessing I prefer honesty in listings, there are so many misleading sellers who list cards as mint and then you get the card and it has small flaws that would clearly keep it from being mint. |

I thought about buying the card last night when it first listed but the 8 grade made me think too and I agree about the top corner. Not surprised to see it go so fast.
Anyone think next year these could easily hitting 2g's if Jones continues like he has ? |
