Interested in some thoughts on what you would rather own,
A fighters red ink variation 'nickname' auto or a fighters gear auto from round 1. Both are /25 but Im just wondering what you guys value more. Interested to hear some thoughts and opinions. |

umm hands down the rd one. Not only is the rd one more than likely their rookie or rookie auto but round ones are just all around more valuable/desirable and more likely to hold value. But also depends on the fighter though of course. I would take the non rd one of a "hotter" (more wins/potential wins, title contention,=more future value) or one that you are just a bigger fan of than just any random rd 1. But if it's the same fighter then of course the rd 1 all day.

i cant say cause i dont own any rd 1 autos, but i definately would take a gear auto first.. that's just me though.. seems like red ink and short print autos tend to hold more value on ebay and stuff in the other series.. but auto relics are just cool to me. lol.

I think that the red ones probably sell for more. The gear autos are in WAY better condition though. Some people are paranoid about fake rd 1 red autos and might prefer the gear ones because they would be very hard to fake.

I actually go Gear Auto, and I have a few.... I just think they look better, they are WAY harder to Fake, and most of them are in better condition.
The Red autos are nice.... but I prefer UGA!

tough call because some of the red ink auto's have the fighter's nickname in the sig and haven't signed like that with any other auto. IE: rampage, BJ, Anderson.

I like the UGAs, but i wish there were more fighters for RD1 UGAs..other than GSP/Forrest/Guida/Gracie, theres no other "top" fighters
..
So i'm partial to the red inks only bc they include rampage, couture, a.Silva, bj penn..etc..

^ agreed, R2 UG autos are by far the worst looking UG autos, just flat out ugly.
