Hey guys. I got into MMA cards last year after ME was already out for a few months. Lucky for you guys.. I never broke rd1 or rd2 when it came out. (I guess it is a good thing for my wallet too)
Anyway- to the point. I just completed a pretty big trade/deal with another member and part of that deal sent me a sealed Rd1 Box. I have opened every other UFC/MMA box, but never opened a Rd1 box before. They were already selling for $500.00 when I got into the hobby. So my question to you guys is this: Knowing that there is a 98% chance of LOSING money by cracking the box instead of selling a sealed box for $500.00ish.. SHOULD I STILL OPEN IT?? I youtubed Rd1 UFC Box and a break done by Rolie in March of 2010 popped up and he got Alves, Herring & Dolloway autos.. I would bet that is what I have sitting on my desk right now... Wanted to hear what you guys thought I should do-- what would you do with a sealed rd1 box staring you in the face?? |

Personally, I would open it. Even the base silver and gold of bigger names are valuable. So while its possible that you have the crappiest box ever or even if you get just a "decent" box your loss shouldn't be to drastic. Also depends on what you traded with as well I guess. Did it cost you more than $500 in value? Is it worth the gamble to you(probably the most thrilling box to open)?

You have more will power than me, I'd rip through that the second it hit my desk. |
