I am curious to hear everyone's opinion on this. Let's take Jones for exapmle:
Would you prefer his red auto or his gear auto? Also, which one is more valuable? |

I think the red auto is cooler.. the piece on the gear isn't anything special just a plain swatch usually. although I have seen some Red Auto's on the gear/auto cards and that would be a sweet combination of both. (rachelle leah on ebay, failed to sell for $280 twice)

I hadn't noticed any red ink gear autos. That would be the best of both worlds.

if lesnars UG auto was in rnd 2 instead of rnd 4 id say the gear auto (b/c the ug brock autos have sweet patch relics)
but since the UG auto was in rnd 4 id take a rnd 2 red over a UG auto anyday |

I like the Gear Auto's better.
25 of both cards are made but the Red auto's look just like the Blue auto's except for the color of the ink and the numbering With the gear/auto's you have no other cards similar to the 25 made |

Personally I dont get the Red Auto over the UG Auto's at all.
The Red auto's are just a different color pen with a number stamp. The Round 2 UG Auto's have a unique look to them with the same number stamp. For me the color of the pen has no bearing on the card. I can see if you don't like the sytle of the UG cards but personally the Round 2 UG AUTO cards are my favorite design by Topps to date.

btw ... I have pulled either 7 or 8 Round 2 UG Autos in my day and the only one with a red pen was the Rachelle Leah. I have not seen any other ones signed with a red pen.
