I have never collected any other trading cards, so I don't know how this all works.  Will there be an expiration on the Round 1 Auto redemptions?  Does Topps just hold onto the Autos forever?  If I buy a box of Round 1 a year from now and pull a BJ Penn redemption card, is it totally worthless?  Just curious.

If I remember right, the redemptions are Penn, Huerta (Franklin), Kongo, and Kelly.  Did I miss any?

I would imagine so, or they will run out potentially.

Yes, all of the standard autos (and red autos) are the ones you stated, but I believe the dual autos were redemptions too.

From memory they were Anderson Silva vs Leben, Big nog vs someone, Jason McDonald vs someone and I forget the other one.

Great memory, eh?

Topps usually has a 2-3 year period to redeem the card.

If in 2 years you buy a box and pull an expired redemption, you can try calling their CS line and they may help you out or tell you your SOL.

Somethimes the unclaimed cards go towards repplacing some other unredeemed redemptions.
For instance, if you collect FB cards as well, pull a redemption that cannot be fulfilled due to the player not returning the autos, they may ask you who you collect or would like.
If you say BJ penn and it typically sells for the same as the FB player card you pulled, its very likely that they may send you a BJ Penn auto

ok cool.  If anyone has one of the redemption cards, let us know if they are printed with a redemption deadline.

The round 2 redemption cards say that they expire on 9/30/12.  I would assume that the Round 1 cards would have the same period, which would mean that they expire in March of 2011?

Did we get a definite on the deadline for these redemptions yet? B.c. As far as I know, the owner of Blowout cards is the only one with a BJ "The Prodigy" Penn red auto with nickname on it. Haven't seen anymore.
If this is the case, this card could really be "rare" since it was a redemption aswell of a frmr title holder!
Heck, might even be the highest price auto later down the road if no more are known to exist.

Haha. Lucky Bastard! So now I know of two in existence. Did we get a definite on redemption deadline though? How many more exist? Thanks!
