I just got back from a card show in San Antonio and found a guy who had a pretty big set-up. Anyways I make my way to his .10 cent cards, yes .10 cents and found about 30 silver (# to 288) base cards of Round 1. I bought them all for $3 bucks. The highest valued one I got was the Forrest Griffin vs Stephan Bonnar. Just thought I would share. Thanks

I'm in bed right now but the "big finds" out of the bunch were the silver Forrest/Bonnar, two Diego/Florian's, and the silver Shane Carwin. I also scored 3 Bloodlines, and 4 photo finishes out of the .10 cent pile. I'm actually driving back tomorrow and pick up the rest. He had some Round 2 Gold base for .10 cents a piece and I'm gonna clean him out. A few people had the Main Event product for sale and were way over pricing it. But I will clean house tomorrow.

Went back today and got the rest of his UFC cards. About 15 gold Round 2 cards and 9 Round 2 base I didn't have. My GF got the rest of the Round 2's. Some guys just aren't into the UFC or don't care. The UFC cards were probably 1% of what he had at the show. Huge amount of sports cards.

my dealer told me the reason no dealers are into the product is because there is no product for them to sell..... the guys that do buy the original product sell it on ebay.  The dont get enough product for them to open their own boxes.

All my spares are at my dealer, he sells them for me.   For all the Lower Mainland guys (allan, vera etc....) , they will be at the Bonsor show this Sunday.  bossashows.com

Largely, MMA as a whole, the interest/hype/fan base for collecting MMA stuff for 10 plus, nearing 20 years, is internet developed. Regular sport card dealers/sellers/collectors will never get it.   MMA is a weird sport. Not fringe, not a fad. Just a new generation. Wether it lasts no one knows. Its pretty bad ass though.  Im kinda 50/50. Been following a long time. Understand the market, but at the same time understand capitalism.  Common show dealers will want to either charge unholy amounts or look too unload. Sounds like you found a deal.  Dont expect it to be the norm. Take it and run.
