So I have some cards that are just flat out missing the names (see below).  It's all the personalty cards 91-99.

Have you seen this before?  Is it a rare thing?  Could they be worth anything?

I personally haven't. I've seen some other misprints from Round 1 that have like half the name and red stripe cut off but never anything like this. Then again, I wasn't around when Round 1 came out so maybe Rolinger could chime in...
Selling BJ Penn collection!

Lots of 1/1's, rubies, red autos, triple threads, dual autos, etc.

PM me if interested!

Yes I have some. There was a guy trying to sell them for $50 or best offer. Dont think he had much luck.  There was one other guy I saw who had one. He put it up for bid Starting at .99. It sold for like 5.50 This was all when round one first came out so I figured I would hold on to them and maybe someday they might be worth something. The error cards dont really sell for much. I dont know Why I think they are cool. It seems like the person selling it thinks it is worth a lot more than anyone else. I have a forrest ultamate gear round one that is stamped twice on the back. Two different numbers. I have almost put it up for sale but I prob think it is way cooler than anybody else does. Anyway it looks like you have a lot of them. Put one up for auction starting bid at 9.99 you never know.

What you see there is what I got.  Just one of each personality card which I though was also kind of weird.  It came in a huge base card lot I bought a long time ago.  I guess I'll hold on to them, I was more or less curious how rare it was.

This is not as unique as it may seem.  I have had a bunch of cards from all 3 series that were printed like that.  People have batted around the idea of trying to put together a full "error set."  I'm not sure if anyone ever has.

They aren't the traditional "Error Card" like everybody says that they are.  A true error card is when the factory purposely prints a card with the wrong information or picture or whatever.  An example of this would be the Griffin/Rua mat relic from R1 that has the wrong event and date on it, or the Wilson Gouveia Ultimate Gear that has his name spelled wrong.

In the traditional trading card world, a product is printed and released over a looong period of time.  When there is an "error card," it is often caught and corrected.  That means that the ones with the errors on them are cool and more rare.  It follows, that they are more valuable.  In Topps UFC Round 1, the true errors are equally as common as the non-errors and therefore not really noteworthy.

In general, collectors consider misprinted cards to not be "error cards," and do not give them much attention.  They are instead seen as f**ked up cards.  You could probably send them back to topps and ask for replacements.  That wouldn't be worth it, as they are base cards and are cool as a novelty.
