I wanted to get some opinions on some rd. 1 autos that I got graded. Everyone knows that Rd. 1 cards especially the autos have a major chipping problem. I got 6 autos graded and they are all PSA 7's. To me, that is a decent grade and I have other autos that would for sure grade lower than a 7. I think that the highest grade that I've seen from rd. 1 was an 8 and that was the only one that I've seen since.
I've listed a couple on Ebay and I recently received an offer stating that because the card is a 7 it hurts its value.
I'm wondering if I would be better off cracking out of their cases in hopes of getting higher offers?
Any input would be appreciated.

I say leave.  For Rd. 1 Autos those are decent grades and I do not think it hurts the value.

there were some beckett graded R1 autos recently, case just states the card is official without giving a grade, that may be a good route

id crack them only b/c mma collectors arent gunna be fully aware of what the grade means since it seems low - we (the more knowledgeable collectors) are aware that a 7 in PSA on a round 1 auto si good b/c how crappy they were produced but a newer mma collector (especially one who is collecting cards for the first time) might just see a 7 and think its a bad grade and not be interested

I agree with lesnar_fan.  Most traders, not familiar with RD1, will think a 7 is a poor grade. (which it really isnt)

I recently sent my RD1 GSP Red Auto to Beckett and got it authenticated along with getting the auto graded.  I'll post a pic as soon as I get it in the mail.
A RD1 Anderson Silva red auto that was Beckett authenticated, just sold on ebay for over $1000  W/out that Beckett authentication, I think it would have gone for a lot less, considering alot of people are paranoid over RD1 red auto counterfeits.

I just got these back from Beckett today.  In retrospect, I wish I would have just gotten the UG Auto Graded.
