WTF .... somtimes I hate being on the west coast... I wake up to realize I missed deals like this!

yes.. i won it. did not want to post until i had the card in hand..you never know..the seller could still get a higher offer from a buyer by email after the fact and cancel my transaction..that kind of stuff happens....some of you guys know what i am talking about right??

yes its possible for BGS 10s to be THAT rare - BGS basically is deeming that card 100% flawless if it gets a "10" - the BGS 9.5 and PSA 10 (while being titles "gem mint") are allowed very minor flaws ..... very minor
with all the baseball cards i have i only own 1 BGS 10 (and 84 topps strawberry rookie) and paid about 3 times what a BGS 9.5 / PSA 10 sells for |

Leaf, not Topps, that is the difference between a company that cares and one that doesn't. Now if only Leaf had the UFC license.
Alot of Leaf cards acorss all of their products have been getting 10's lately, their Leaf Metal baseball it seems half the cards grade 10/10auto, which is great for the collector, bad for those submitting cards and reselling them.
Because the difference between say a Michael Jordan rc BGS 9.5 and a 10 is huge, the 9.5 is anywhere from $4 to $8,000 and a 10 sold for $155,000, because there is only 3 of them out of 1,000's that have been graded.
If somehow all 25 of Jones' red autos were graded by BGS and only one comes back a 10, and jones doesn't lose anytime soon, the grade would easily be worth 5 times the amount of a 9.5 Edited by twoten01 - 19 Jan 2012 at 11:42am |
