I will say one thing about this card. We all might very well be wishing we had bought this card for $100 in the short future. I can remember some time ago buying a Cain /88 for $50 bucks or so (I believe it was from cockblocks?) and then a short time later he bought it back from me for $75. I thought is he crazy? Now I wish I had kept the card and that is most likely the last time I will have a chance at getting one at that price. This base card graded to 10 might just end up going for a nice chunk of change in the future because the /88 will be untouchable unless you have some major $.

Nothing shady going on with that old auction . Member owns it . 2 members bid it and then realized it was just a base not a gold VD card . So owner allowed bid cancellation or members retracted the bids .

Carry on , back to the bickering .  LOL

2 members from this site bid on that card thinking it was numbered to /88 because they didn't look at the listing well enough. ( I almost did the same as well)
After reading this thread and realizing it they both retracted/cancelled their bids.

Mr. Knowledgeable One, can you please guide us to where we can get these raw cards you speak of. This sounds like a masterful idea, we can all just grade them ourselves. I'll buy three VD Gold Anderson Silva's and grade them, that would be the best day ever.
Collecting low numbered stuff from Cain Velasquez, Erik Perez, Efrain Escudero, Travis Browne, Phil Davis

Plus plenty of people get card graded that are not 9's or above, just look at the picture thread, I see 7's, 7.5's. Now get a rd 1  base card graded 10, then it is rare and worth the extra cash. Take vinatge cards for example, the reason hgih grades go for 5 or 6 figures is that fact that there may only be 2 or 3 cards graded about an 8, well what do you think would happen to the prices if all those cards graded at 9 and 10's, they would plummet.

Youre making a lot of assumptions, you had no idea what the numbers were. You said most would grade 10's and I just proved you wrong. I have about 15 VD's that are 8's at best. I say your odds of getting a Victorious Debuts Gold card to grade a 10 is closer to 20%.

and talk about assumptions, YOU are the one who posted the #'s saying 41/70 graded  a 10. but then say your odds  are 20% on getting a VD to grade a 10?
